Hope Network is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the 2nd shift at our New Center. This full-time role focuses on helping individuals gain independence while building a rewarding career.

You will support daily living activities, mobility, health management, and community participation, ensuring safety and high-quality care. Competitive wage and comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Shift Full-Time / Part Time including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7 with various checking methods.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Establish relationships built on trust and empathy through consistent communication.
• Foster partnership with individuals served, the community, and professionals.
• Help develop problem-solving, communication, and independence skills.
• Assist individuals with social, leisure, and community activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living (moving, dressing, bathing, grooming, nails, restroom, cooking).
• Monitor vital signs and report medical conditions to care team.
• Attend medical appointments and relay information accurately.
• Understand and help implement medical/behavioral/clinical care plans.
• Connect individuals with community opportunities and employment goals.
