Job summary

Clean Harbors in Henderson, CO is seeking a 2nd Shift Diesel Vehicle Mechanic to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on the company fleet. You will work in a safety-focused team, assisting drivers and keeping equipment up to standard.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, oil changes, battery checks, and ensuring DOT compliance. This role requires prior heavy-truck experience and tool ownership, with opportunities for certification and growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years experience on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Must provide own basic tools.
• Relevant mechanical certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety as the top priority by following all safety practices.
• Move company equipment safely on yard as needed.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on fleet.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication.
• Complete daily checklist and ensure equipment is parked/secured per DOT rules.
• Maintain facility housekeeping and perform other duties as assigned.
