Job summary

Clean Harbors in Gardena, CA is seeking a 2nd Shift Mobile Vehicle Mechanic to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the fleet at branch locations across the area.

This role is 2nd shift (1pm-10pm) with travel to sites as required. A high school diploma, valid license, DOT experience, and own tools are required, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits provided by Clean Harbors.

Qualifications

• Heavy-duty trucks/equipment maintenance experience.
• DOT inspection experience required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Able to provide own basic tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%.
• Safety-first mindset with PPE adherence.
• Flexible shifts including nights/weekends.
• Diagnose vehicle conditions and perform repairs.
• Pass background, drug, and physical tests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and adhere to safe work practices.
• Correct deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance on fleet as directed.
• Inspect equipment to identify unsatisfactory conditions.
• Comply with PPE requirements during all tasks.
• Travel to other locations to perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
