Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on medium to heavy-duty fleet equipment, including trucks, trailers, and reefers. You will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, document work orders, and respond to road calls as needed.

The role requires 2+ years of heavy-duty repair experience, knowledge of PMs, brakes, HVAC, diagnostics, and electrical troubleshooting, with a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
• Experience with PMs, tires, air/brakes, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and reefers.
• Ensure roadworthiness by verifying licensing/registration.
• Document work orders accurately in the system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and components.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and related parts.
• Conduct routine maintenance using hand and power tools and perform road calls as needed.
