Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a skilled fleet maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will ensure roadworthiness, document work orders, and handle road calls as needed.

The role requires 2+ years of repair experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a safety-conscious approach. We offer a 2nd shift Sunday-Wednesday, competitive pay, and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete and perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units) and identify root causes of basic failures.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to roadworthiness.
• Document work orders for repairs and preventive maintenance in the system.
• Inspect braking systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and related parts for proper operation.
