Job summary

Align Communications in Detroit area seeks a Project Manager to oversee second-shift construction activities for hyperscale data center white space fit-outs within colocation environments. This role manages onsite execution, sequencing, quality, and progress against the project schedule.

You will be Align’s onsite point of contact during the second shift, coordinating with contractors, client representatives, and the daytime team to ensure a clear handoff and smooth progression of work.

Qualifications

• Experience leading onsite construction with multiple contractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong scheduling, progress tracking and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead second-shift onsite construction activities for data center projects.
• Coordinate with daytime team before shifts to review priorities and issues.
• Oversee installation of containment, cable trays, and cooling infra.
• Manage trades and sequencing to protect schedule and avoid conflicts.
• Serve as onsite contact with contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Ensure quality control, safety, and compliance with drawings.
