Align seeks an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate second-shift construction activities for a data center white space fit-out in the Detroit metropolitan area. This person will work closely with the Project Manager and daytime field team to oversee contractors, monitor installation progress, and keep work moving safely and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has previous construction field experience, communicates well with contractors and clients, and is comfortable taking ownership of onsite

• Experience supervising or coordinating construction crews on complex projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and installation requirements.
• Strong safety mindset with ability to enforce site rules and address hazards.
• Effective communication with contractors, clients and internal teams.
• Proactive problem-solving to resolve scheduling conflicts and field issues.
• Comfortable working onsite during second shift hours (approx. 4pm–midnight).

Responsabilidades

• Serve as onsite field representative during second shift, coordinating work with contractors, vendors, and client reps
• Review daily priorities with Project Manager and daytime team for smooth handoffs
• Coordinate contractor activities and ensure crews have access, materials, and information
• Walk the jobsite to monitor progress and quality against drawings and specs
• Support white space fit-out activities including electrical and mechanical installations
• Reinforce site safety requirements and elevate hazards
• Identify scheduling conflicts and material shortages; collaborate to resolve them
• Maintain daily reports, progress photos, and field issue logs; communicate scope changes
• Coordinate punch-list work and support inspections, testing, turnover activities
• Provide daytime team with updates on completed work and next steps
