Job summary

Vernon Public Schools is hiring a 2nd shift custodian to join our facilities team in Vernon Rockville, Connecticut. You will perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings, maintain equipment, and provide custodial support to students and staff.

The role reports to the Principal, Director of Facilities, and Director of Business and Finance. The salary for 2026-27 starts at $24.56 per hour with a competitive benefits package; health insurance is included.

Second Shift Custodian -Vernon Public Schools

Position Function: Under the direct supervision of the Principal, Director of Facilities, and Director of Business and Finance, performs general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds; maintains equipment in functional condition; and provides cleaning and custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary.

Performs related duties and general custodial work as required.
