Custodian - Second Shift Needed

Location: Champlain Valley Union High School

This position will remain open until filled.

Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) is seeking a Custodian - 2nd Shift to join our team. This role is essential for providing a safe and clean learning environment for our students. We are looking for a reliable professional dedicated to maintaining high standards of facility cleanliness and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors, including vacuuming, sweeping, washing, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Sanitize facilities such as bathrooms, windows, walls, water fountains, and sinks.
• Manage waste by emptying trash receptacles and picking up litter inside and around buildings.
• Support school operations through event setup/breakdown.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• 1 to 2 years of relevant housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
• Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, and supervisors.
• Strong dependability and the ability to work independently to get things done.
• Capacity to stand/walk constantly and frequently lift or push/pull up to 25 lbs.
• Experience not required; paid training provided to all new hires.
