Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is seeking a Packaging Technician to join our 2nd shift production team in Minnesota. You will set up and operate grinding/packaging equipment, perform quality checks, and partner with maintenance and quality teams to keep production running smoothly.

This full-time role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork. The position offers an 2nd shift schedule (3:30pm–12:00am) with hourly pay in the $20–$22 range and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• 1 year of production experience as a machine technician or machine operator.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays
• Ability to uphold and follow safety, food safety, and production quality standards
• Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness and reliability
• Works well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, and a willingness to assist others as needed.
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a respectful, collaborative, and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding and/or packaging equipment to process coffee according to the daily production schedule
• Follow all workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs and standard operating procedures
• Perform quality checks, complete required production and quality records, and ensure product meets specifications
• Monitor equipment performance and communicate safety, quality, or production issues to leadership; report equipment issues to Maintenance/Engineering
• Support productivity and efficiency while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Assist with training and guiding team members and temporary workers at the workstation as needed
