Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is seeking a Packaging Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30pm-12:00am) to operate grinding and packaging equipment and support daily production goals. You will adhere to safety and GMP standards, perform quality checks, and maintain accurate production records while coordinating with maintenance, quality, and other teams to keep lines running smoothly.

The base salary is $20–$22 per hour, with potential bonuses; Peet’s offers benefits including health coverage and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• 1 year of production experience as a machine technician or machine operator
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays
• Ability to uphold and follow safety, food safety, and production quality standards
• Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness and reliability
• Works well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, and a willingness to assist others as needed
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a respectful, collaborative, and supportive work environment

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding and/or packaging equipment to process coffee according to the daily production schedule
• Follow all workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs and standard operating procedures
• Perform quality checks, complete required production and quality records, and ensure product meets specifications
• Monitor equipment performance and communicate safety, quality, or production issues to leadership; report equipment issues to Maintenance/Engineering
• Assist with training and guiding team members and temporary workers at the workstation as needed
