This role blends hands-on machining (CNC turning, milling, Swiss and light assembly) with people leadership, driving continuous improvement, coaching operators, and coordinating with quality, maintenance, and engineering to keep uptime high and output on target.

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience in precision CNC machining, including turning and milling.
At least 2+ years in a lead or supervisory capacity in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on CNC setup/operator experience; familiarity with small lot/job-shop and production run settings.

Responsibilities

Production Planning & Coordination: Plan, assign, and coordinate work across the department to meet schedules and deadlines.
Technical Leadership & Problem Solving: Serve as the technical escalation point for complex machining issues on CNC lathes and mills.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure ISO 9001/AS9100 procedures are followed and inspections performed.
Safety Leadership: Enforce OSHA regulations and maintain a zero-accident culture.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives: Lead Kaizen events and SOP updates to drive efficiency.
Performance Monitoring & KPI Management: Track machine utilization, throughput, and KPIs; implement corrective actions.
