Job summary

Nolte Precise Manufacturing is seeking a Machine Shop Lead to oversee daily CNC turning and milling operations, provide hands-on leadership to operators, and drive continuous improvement. You will coordinate workflows, support setups, and ensure safety and quality compliance on the shop floor.

The role balances hands-on machin­ing with supervision, mentoring a small team, and collaborating with maintenance, quality, and engineering to meet production goals on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of precision CNC machining experience with lead/supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of CNC turning and milling and setup experience.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality systems and inspection methods.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and coordinate department work to meet production schedules.
• Lead troubleshooting and program adjustments on CNC machines.
• Ensure quality procedures and in-process inspections per ISO/AS9100.
• Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardize best practices across shifts.
• Monitor KPIs, production metrics, and labor efficiency; report to management.
