Job summary

Hendrickson is seeking a seasoned CNC Technician to program and set up horizontal machining centers, optimize toolpaths, and ensure first-article and in-process quality. You will troubleshoot alarms, lead continuous improvement, and collaborate with quality teams on root-cause analysis while maintaining safe, organized work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in CAD/CAM and G-code editing is required; experience with Mastercam or PartMaker is preferred alongside strong blueprint

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience with programming and setup.
• Experience setting up horizontal machining centers with pallet and tombstone fixturing.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM; ability to build programs from scratch, not just modify existing code.
• Working knowledge of G-code; comfortable editing programs at Fanuc control.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation including true position and flatness.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for new jobs from print to proven program using Mastercam and/or PartMaker; optimize tooling and parameters.
• Set up horizontal machining centers for new and repeat jobs, including tombstone fixturing and proper offsets.
• Diagnose and resolve in-process quality nonconformances; lead containment when escapes occur.
• Respond to machine alarms, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime on the shop floor.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and scrap and improve process capability.
