You will read blueprints, set up tools, monitor tooling, and adjust processes to maintain quality and efficiency. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires extensive knowledge of hand tools and machine shop equipment.
• CAD skills or experience with CAD software preferred.
• 5+ years of machining experience or equivalent.
• Must be a team player with strong communication.
• Ability to understand and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and program CNC machines from drawings or specs.
• Create or modify 3–5 axis CNC programs for production runs.
• Measure dimensions using precision instruments to ensure tolerances.
• Set up, align, and secure tools, fixtures, and workpieces on machines.
• Monitor operation and adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling as needed.
• Stop machines to change tooling or make adjustments during runs.
• Ensure proper lubrication and cooling of workpieces during operation.
• Input initial part dimensions into machine control panels.
• Collaborate with supervisors or programmers to resolve malfunctions.
• Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy.
