Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team. You will review specifications, program CNC machines using CAM software, and ensure accurate setup and calibration of equipment for production.

The role requires at least two years of CNC programming/setup experience, familiarity with CAM software, and strong math and communication skills in a non-climate-controlled environment. 2nd shift available, with a competitive starting salary and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years of experience programming and setting up 3-axis CNC mills.
• Experience with CAM software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze specifications by reviewing job orders, blueprints and drawings to determine dimensions, tools and speeds.
• Program CNC machines using CAM software to create and optimize programs.
• Set up CNC equipment, calibrate tools and verify machine function before production.
• Run trial simulations and adjust programs to minimize errors and maximize accuracy.
• Maintain safety standards, wear PPE and keep the workspace clean and organized.
• Provide cross-departmental support to ensure smooth production operations.
