Job summary

Aerotek in Shelbyville, IL is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for 2nd or 3rd shift. Earn up to $21.50 per hour in a contract-to-hire role with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. You will operate production machinery, load materials, measure outputs, troubleshoot minor issues, and support cross-training across areas.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in a fast-paced production setting.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Basic English reading and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals.
• Load and unload materials while monitoring machine performance and quality.
• Use hand tools, power tools, wrenches, and measuring devices to complete manufacturing tasks.
• Inspect products for quality and ensure specifications are met.
• Follow work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and production standards.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report equipment concerns.
• Support multiple production areas through cross‑training opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work environment.
