Job summary

Gulfco Manufacturing in Pueblo, Colorado, seeks expert-level Machinists for the 2nd shift. Starting wage up to $36/hour with potential wage increases, plus relocation/hiring bonus up to $5K for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• Expertise in set-up, operation, and troubleshooting to consistently achieve production rates.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and job orders.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges.
• Experience with tooling, hand tools, power tools, and cutting techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in fixturing and equipment setup.
• Tool grinding and sharpening experience; OD/ID grinding experience.
• Capable of guiding/coaching and training less experienced Machinists.
• Adherence to safety procedures and strong work ethic.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.

Responsibilities

• Expert-level roles with autonomy to determine the best run sequence of work orders for production.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot to meet production rates and quality standards.
• Read blueprints and GD&T to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify part quality and conformance.
• Mentor and train less experienced Machinists and Machine Operators.
• Maintain safety procedures at all times.

• Hiring Expert-level Manual/Conventional Machinists.
• Hiring Expert-level CNC Machinists.
• Starting wage up to $36/hour (based on skills/competencies).
• Full pay range greater than $36/hour.
• Employees working the second shift will receive a shift differential of $0.75.
• Opportunities for future wage increases (based on performance reviews and increases in skill/competency).
• Four 10-hour schedules from Monday to Thursday (2:45 PM - 12:45 AM) and eight hours on Fridays (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM).

Expectations and Qualifications:

• Expertise in set-up, operation, and troubleshooting to consistently achieve production rates, quality standards, and production schedule.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical/engineering drawings, GD&T, process documentation, and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and part requirements.
• Expertise in use of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and other measuring instruments.
• Experienced with tooling, hand tools, power tools, and cutting techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in fixturing and equipment setup.
• Tool grinding and sharpening experience. OD/ID grinding experience.
• Capable of guiding/coaching and/or training less experienced Machinists, Machinist Trainees, and Machine Operators.
• Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently. Reliable and have a strong work ethic.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
