Gulfco Manufacturing in Pueblo, CO is hiring expert machinists for both manual and CNC roles. The positions require reading blueprints, GD&T, and precise measurement using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges. Tasks include setup, operation, and mentoring of junior machinists in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Expertise in set-up, operation, and troubleshooting to meet production rates and quality standards.
• Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, process documents, and determine tolerances and part requirements.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges).
• Familiarity with tooling, hand/power tools, and cutting techniques; strong fixture setup knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot machines to meet production schedules and quality targets.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Coach and mentor less-experienced machinists and trainees when needed.

• Hiring Expert-level Manual/Conventional Machinists.

These expert-level roles have a high degree of autonomy to include determining the best run sequence of work orders for achieving production schedule.

Expectations and Qualifications:

• Expertise in set-up, operation, and troubleshooting to consistently achieve production rates quality standards, and production schedule.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical/engineering drawings, GD&T, process documentation, and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerances and part requirements.
• Expertise in use of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gages and other measuring instruments.
• Experienced with tooling, hand tools, power tools, and cutting techniques.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in fixturing and equipment setup.
• Tool grinding and sharpening experience. OD/ID grinding experience.
• Capable of guiding/coaching and/or training less experienced Machinists, Machinist Trainees, and Machine Operators.
• Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently. Reliable and have a strong work ethic.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
