Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician based in Union, IL. This role focuses on preventive maintenance for CNC machines used to produce hydraulic manifolds, valves, and fluid power components.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read schematics, document maintenance activities, and support low voltage systems and PLC controls as you develop skills. The position is contract-to-hire with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial CNC machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience reading schematics/diagrams for diagnosis and repairs.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance ordering and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on CNC-based forging and machining equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect machines for wear and potential failures; act to prevent downtime.
• Read schematics and diagnose issues to perform repairs accurately.
• Document maintenance activities, parts used, and issues found.
• Support vehicle and forklift maintenance as needed; basic electrical tasks.
