Job summary

Eaton is seeking a 2nd shift Machine Operator for our Amarillo, TX facility. You will operate CNC and automatic machines, load parts, run cycles, and make adjustments to maintain close tolerance production.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in manufacturing. We support safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with attention to 5-S practices and accurate measurement using calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to stand and lift 50 pounds; operate CNC/automatic machines.

Responsibilities

• Assure all products meet Eaton Crouse-Hinds standards.
• Recognize and notify supervision of mechanical malfunctions and operating irregularities.
• Operate an automatic tapping, drilling and/or reaming machine and CNC machines.
• Position parts into chuck, fixtures, or load machine.
• Initiate machine cycles and remove machined parts.
• Read and interpret information on screen or blueprint to adjust machines with basic math and NC controls.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner; apply 5-S.
