Dover Precision in Houston, TX is seeking a 2nd shift CNC Machinist to operate lathe and mill machines from drawings and specs. You will set up jobs, perform first-piece inspections, and document times and counts according to procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of CNC experience, shop math and blueprint reading skills, and the ability to read GD&T. The position includes a discretionary bonus plan and a supportive shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of CNC machinist experience.
• Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading advisable.

Responsabilités

• Operate CNC lathes and mills from drawings and specifications.
• Set up jobs to obtain close tolerances and align machined parts.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections with various measuring devices.
• Maintain records of time, part counts, inspections, and requisitions.
• Make jigs, fixtures or other non-production devices as needed.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Apply GD&T as called out on prints to ensure quality.
