Job summary

Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is hiring a 2nd shift Machine Operator for the Amarillo, TX facility. The role focuses on operating automated tapping, drilling, reaming and CNC machines, with emphasis on close-tolerance production and quality checks.

Key tasks include setting up parts, loading machines, initiating cycles, and inspecting outputs with basic gauging tools. Candidates should have at least 1 year in manufacturing and fit the physical demands of the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• No relocation benefit is being offered; within 50-mile radius of Amarillo, TX Loc will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automatic tapping, drilling and/or reaming machine and CNC machines.
• Position parts into chuck, fixtures, or load machine.
• Initiate machine cycles and remove machined parts.
• Gauge castings with manual gauge and caliper.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and apply 5-S program.
• Read and interpret blueprints to adjust machines using basic math and CNC/PLC controls.
• Perform recordkeeping and clerical duties as required.
