Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is seeking a 2nd Shift Laser Operator in Hobart, IN. You will produce laser cuts, set up and operate CNC laser equipment, and read blueprints and tapes to meet quality specs.

The role requires 2+ years CNC operating experience, ability to read micrometers, and certifications in LOTO, crane operation, and forklift operation. Shift is 2nd (1:30pm–10:00pm); full-time with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of CNC operating experience.
• Knowledge of CNC laser-cutting operations.
• Ability to read a tape measure and a micrometer.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• LOTO certification required.
• Crane operation certification required.
• Forklift operation certification required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser cutting machines, set up, program, and run jobs.
• Load raw material and maintain focal point, feed rate, power, and other parameters.
• Ensure quality by inspection and meeting tolerances.
• Maintain machine optics and perform routine tests and cleaning.
• Label finished parts and deliver to designated areas.
• Record machine errors and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep the work area clean.
• Assist other operators as needed.
• Adhere to Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
