Klöckner & Co SE in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Burner Operator responsible for setting up, operating, and programming burner systems to produce quality parts safely and efficiently.

You will handle work orders, material handling, torch setup, CNC programming, and final processing, while maintaining high standards of detail and safety on the 2nd shift (1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) with overtime as needed. Excellent reliability and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Overtime may be required with short notice.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Reliability with a proven work history.
• Detail-oriented with strong focus on precision and quality.

Responsibilities

• Work order processing: review paperwork and group orders by thickness per supervisor instructions.
• Material handling: locate materials and use appropriate handling equipment; prepare skids/dunnage as required.
• Torch setup: select correct tips based on material and cutting edges.
• CNC programming: program CNC per work orders and manage scrap/parts flow.
• Final processing: package parts, note unloading requirements, apply shrink wrap and labeling.
• Cleanup: remove scrap and move finished orders to staging.
• Additional duties as assigned to support production efficiency and safety.
