Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Burner Operator for 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm, Monday–Friday) to set up, operate, and perform basic programming of CNC equipment. You will manage material flow, select torch tips, and ensure safe, efficient production while meeting customer requirements.

Responsibilities include organizing work orders, handling materials, programming CNCs per instructions, cleaning slag, and packaging finished parts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience with burner operation and CNC programming preferred.
Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs as part of duties.

Responsibilities

Identify paperwork / work order documents and map how each order fits on table; prioritize per supervisor input.
Locate material on floor and staging; select proper material handling equipment and prepare for cutting.
Select proper tips for burner torch depending on material to be cut and desired edge.
Program CNC computer per work order; clean slag off finished parts and stack or transport for processing.
After cleaning slag, place parts on skid for packaging; note customer unloading requirements.
Shrink wrap, band, label skid with order/customer info as required.
Remove scrap and place finished order in staging area as required.
