Job summary

Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a 2nd Shift Burner Operator responsible for producing quality products safely and efficiently. The operator will set up and operate burner systems while performing basic programming tasks.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle materials and equipment effectively. Benefits include a 401(k) plan with company match, health insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret paperwork to create a mental map of order placements.
• Locate materials and utilize appropriate material handling equipment.
• Choose the correct tips for the burner torch based on material type.
• Program the CNC computer according to work order instructions.
• Clean scrap slag from finished parts and stack them for transport.
• Place parts on a skid for packaging and note customer unloading requirements.
• Remove scrap from the table and move finished orders to staging area.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support production efficiency.
