Job summary

Axillon Aerospace seeks a CMM Programmer / CMM Operator to develop and run CMM inspection programs on the 2nd shift. You will interpret drawings, set up equipment, and produce reports to verify conformance with engineering drawings and customer specs.

You will combine hands-on operation with programming, perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, and help with root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Strong metrology knowledge required.
• GD&T per ASME Y14.5 applied during inspections.
• Experience with CMM software and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, Camio or equivalent.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models, and specs to create inspection routines.
• Generate inspection reports and documentation for production and customers.
• Modify existing programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot programming issues and resolve measurement discrepancies.
• Set up and operate CMMs for dimensional inspections on various components.
• Execute first article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections as needed.
• Verify calibration status and maintain records.
• Review results and communicate nonconformances to Quality/Engineering/Production.
• Ensure accurate data entry into quality systems.
• Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and assist with root cause investigations.
