Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must be certified by ASCP/AMT/NCA within 6 months of hire or be eligible for certification.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to follow all laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive specimens and verify labeling and documentation.
• Perform basic and complex specimen processing and report results.
• Perform quality control and maintain documentation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
• Assist with instruction of new staff and students.
• Participate in Pathology Quality Assurance program.
• Identify ways to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
