Job summary

Meridian Senior Living is hiring a Caregiver/Resident Assistant to support residents' daily living needs in our community. You will assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility, while maintaining dignity and safety.

Applicants should be at least 21, with a high school diploma and state-required training. Strong communication, reliability, and confidentiality are essential as you collaborate with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of required state training.
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and staff.
  • Be honest, fair, dependable, and respect confidentiality and privacy.
  • Must meet health requirements and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care assisting residents in daily activities.
  • Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, mobility and incontinence care.
  • Keep proper care records and report changes in residents' conditions.
  • Interact effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the public.
