Job summary

Saginaw Intermediate School District is seeking a self-motivated maintenance professional for the 2nd shift (10:00 am - 6:30 pm). You will manage projects across departments to support district goals and maintain a safe, comfortable work environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required (Chauffeur's License preferred).
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience required.
• Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Functional reading and writing skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer operations.
• Able to work with a diverse staff, student population, and the public.
• Ability to work in heights, in inclement weather, and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Interact with tenants, contractors, and management with strong verbal and written communication.
• Perform maintenance and repair work to maintain safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
• Use building management systems (BMS) and other software for monitoring, logging, and reporting.
• Regularly inspect buildings, systems, and equipment to identify issues early.
• Carry out basic carpentry tasks and install fixtures.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs and unclog drains.
