Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift at Deerfield High School. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and BAS systems to keep facilities in reliable condition. Second shift is Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.

to 11:00 p.m. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; at least two years in building maintenance; valid driver's license; CMMS and reading manuals; willingness to obtain Certified

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.
• Minimum of two years building maintenance experience (school or commercial setting) preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for district-wide needs and snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance inside and outside facilities including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and scheduled repairs; provide emergency repairs when needed.
• Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings, and work orders to complete tasks.
• Maintain BAS and use CMMS for work orders and record-keeping.
• Assist in snow removal and custodial coverage as needed.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work environment.
