Job summary

TSG - The Sheridan Group is seeking a Machine Operator in Vermont to join our print manufacturing team. We will train you to run high-speed bindery equipment on the 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM for a 40-hour week.

Eligible after 12 weeks for a $2,500 hiring bonus. Overtime opportunities exist with time-and-a-half pay. We’re a hands-on, safety-conscious team that values quality, reliability, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.).
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Ability to read basic instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.).
• Reliable team player who takes pride in quality.
• Print, bindery, or finishing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate and set up bindery equipment (cutters, folders, stitchers, and perfect binders).
• Keep machines running smoothly by making adjustments and monitoring quality.
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace.
