Job summary

Colonial Group in Cheshire, CT is seeking a Battery Room Technician to replace and maintain batteries on MHE equipment and other battery-operated devices in the facility. You will perform safety inspections, document repairs, and ensure OSHA compliance to drive a safe working environment.

The role requires one year of technical experience in automotive or industrial equipment, a valid driver’s license, and owning up-to-date tools.

Qualifications

• One year of technical experience – Automotive or Industrial Equipment.
• Valid Driver's License is REQUIRED.
• Own and maintain up-to-date tools of the trade.

Responsibilities

• Replacing the batteries in MHE equipment, electric power tools, and hand tools.
• Performing safety inspections in accordance with OSHA and company policies.
• Completing all necessary paperwork and inspection forms accurately and timely.
• Performing battery checks and basic soldering and welding as needed.
• Using air-powered equipment and moving equipment safely with proper certifications.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining a safe working environment in the warehouse.
