Job summary

Eaton in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Assembler I for the 2nd shift to build sub-assemblies and wiring for UPS battery cabinets. The role requires following SOPs, inspecting parts, and using hand and power tools to assemble sub-assemblies.

Will ensure quality per Raleigh Plant standards and contribute to safety and 5S+ housekeeping. Qualifications include at least 1 year in manufacturing, a high school diploma or GED, and eligibility for local employment with no immigration sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.
• Relocation assistance is not available; only candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Build sub-assemblies and assemblies using SOPs.
• Visually inspect materials before and after assembly.
• Use fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure Raleigh Plant Quality standards are met and adjust as needed.
• Adhere to environmental, health and safety rules and regulations.
• Provide process and safety improvement ideas.
• Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping per 5S+.
