Overview

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Assembler I - 2nd Shift at our Youngsville, NC location. They engineer, manufacture, and ship products related to electrical power distribution to six different segments, including Utilities, Institutions, Aerospace, and Residential. The Assembler I - 2nd Shift role offers a 40-hour paid work week with hours 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm, Monday – Friday. With full-time employment you are offered benefits (Medical, Dental, & Vision), a 401K match plan, and vacation. The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour. The core hours are 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm. Salary information is a general guideline and may vary based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.

What You’ll Do
  • Build sub-assemblies and assemblies involving complex and repetitive wiring for Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS).
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies.
  • Perform visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
  • Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Raleigh Plant Quality standards and make necessary adjustments to meet quality goals.
  • Adhere to environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide process and safety improvement ideas.
  • Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.
Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with standard operating procedures.
  • Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair.
  • Previous soldering experience.

Position Criteria:

  • Basic working knowledge and experience with computers.
  • Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime; willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to distinguish colored wiring.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting.
