Job summary

Bradford Soap Works, Inc. in West Warwick, RI is seeking a Bar Soap Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift (3pm–11pm) to lead daily production lines and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role oversees staff, drives production targets and KPIs, coordinates maintenance, maintains records, and enforces GMP/OSHA standards. Strong leadership and strong organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently under broad operational guidelines.
• Experience in employee selection, performance management, discipline, and termination processes.
• Working knowledge of GMP and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work extended hours as operational needs require.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop production personnel; assign work, monitor performance, and provide coaching and corrective action as needed.
• Ensure daily production targets, efficiency metrics, and operational KPIs are achieved and sustained.
• Provide hands-on floor leadership and real-time direction to shift employees.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to schedule and execute preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations.
• Ensure all products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and departmental documentation.
• Approve and manage timekeeping and payroll-related documentation for assigned employees.
• Participate in workforce planning, staffing recommendations, job bidding processes, and hiring activities.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and OSHA in all operations.
• Promote a culture of safety; conduct investigations and follow-ups on incidents.
• Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
