Job summary

Bradford Soap Works, Inc. is seeking a Bar Soap Production Supervisor in West Warwick, RI. You will plan, direct, and oversee daily bar soap production lines, ensuring safety, efficiency, compliance, and achievement of production objectives.

The role requires leadership in a unionized setting and driving continuous improvement across people, processes, and equipment, with responsibilities spanning staffing, performance, and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong leadership and verbal/written communication skills.
• GMP and OSHA knowledge.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop production personnel; assign work, monitor performance, and provide coaching.
• Ensure daily production targets and KPIs are achieved.
• Provide hands-on floor leadership and real-time direction to shift employees.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventative maintenance and installations.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain production records and payroll-related documentation.
• Administer the collective bargaining agreement in alignment with policies.
• Participate in workforce planning, staffing, and hiring activities.
• Ensure GMP and OSHA compliance; promote safety culture.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
