Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd Shift in the bacon and blending department. You will oversee the production process, operating procedures, and working conditions, ensuring daily targets are met and compliance with company, customer, and government specifications. Reports to the department Superintendent.

The role requires leadership in a fast-paced meat processing environment and strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of USDA and HACCP procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership and motivational abilities.
• Commitment to safety policies and PPE.
• Willingness to attend training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead team activities to produce quality products per company criteria.
• Implement and maintain safety standards as required by law and policy.
• Direct training for all team members and ensure job rotation minimums.
• Coach team members to resolve issues and ensure corrective actions.
• Maintain high morale workplace with ethical standards.
• Manage completion of production schedules as directed by superintendent.
• Ensure processing procedures (quality, safety) are followed.
• Monitor performance to meet production quality and quantity goals.

Education

Bachelor's degree

Associate's degree with 1+ years of manufacturing experience

5+ years of progressive manufacturing/meat processing experience
