Job summary

Mayco International in Sterling Heights, Michigan, is seeking a Controls Technician on 2nd shift to install and maintain automated machinery. You will support start-up and integration of robots, vision systems, and servo drives, reading electrical and fluid power schematics, and ensuring safe operation.

The role requires hands-on PLC and HMI programming experience, knowledge of industrial networks, and the ability to work across teams to keep equipment running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of controls automation experience.
• Completion of a 2-year degree or technical certificate program, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Experience with PLC hardware and software.
• Experience with HMI hardware and software.
• Networks and database operation knowledge.
• Robot setup and programming experience.
• Vision systems setup and programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain automated industrial machinery.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC and robotic controllers.
• Set up and integrate vision systems into machines.
• Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Travel to support project start-up and local operations.
• Ensure electrical safety and machine guarding.
