Job summary

Liberty Packaging - San Diego is seeking a 2nd Shift Assistant Machine Operator II to contribute to producing quality corrugated products. You will support setup, perform quality checks, stack orders, and communicate issues.

Responsibilities include assisting in machine operations when needed and maintaining a safe, clean work area at the Poway, CA facility. The role reports to a Production Supervisor and requires flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution or 1+ years manufacturing or comparable experience in place of education.
• Basic arithmetic and ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read, follow, and complete detailed work instructions.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of orders according to customer specifications and prep tools.
• Support machine operators during quality checks and monitor product quality.
• Help track production metrics such as rate, quality, downtime and maintenance needs.
• Communicate equipment issues promptly to leaders and assist with troubleshooting.
• Assist with minor repairs in coordination with maintenance and keep area clean.
