Job summary

Liberty Packaging in Poway, CA is seeking a Machine Operator I to safely produce quality corrugated products. You will set up orders, operate the machine, and perform quality checks while communicating issues to leaders and helping lead a small crew.

This full-time role reports to a Production Supervisor at our Poway facility. Overtime, weekends and holidays may be required; a HS diploma or GED and manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience OR 3+ years manufacturing experience in lieu of education.
• Experience with computers, typing, printing and data entry.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and read detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up orders according to customer specs and prepare tooling.
• Perform first article and in-process quality checks; monitor quality.
• Enter production metrics and track progress, downtime and maintenance.
• Communicate equipment issues and troubleshoot with team to maximize efficiency.
• Guide and assist Assistant Machine Operators as needed.
• Assist with minor repairs in coordination with maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
