Job summary

Tempur Sealy is hiring Assembly Technicians for the 2nd shift in Charlotte, NC. This role involves safely loading and unloading foam cores, applying covers, and preparing products for shipment, with emphasis on quality and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, is able to lift up to 50 pounds, and can work overtime during peak production periods. Fork truck certification is a plus, and comprehensive benefits accompany this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and operate machinery.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours during high demand production seasons.
• Knowledge of PC usage and basic data entry.
• Prior manufacturing experience.
• 18+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload mattress-sized foam cores from processing machines.
• Apply covers and other material to foam cores, then palletize and/or box them for shipment.
• Ensure product is produced to quality standards and elevate issues as needed.
• Occasionally fill in for other functions outside of primary work area.
• Maintain and clean the assigned work area.
