Job summary

Tempur Sealy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Driver for the 1st shift. The role offers an hourly rate of $19.90 and requires standing, lifting up to 50 lb, and readiness for overtime during high demand production seasons.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading mattress foam cores, applying covers, palletizing, and ensuring quality standards. Forklift certification is a plus; HS diploma or GED preferred, manufacturing experience valued.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop and operate machinery.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Overtime and flexible hours during peak production seasons.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and contribute to zero-incident goals.
• Complete tasks per instructions and suggest improvements.
• Load/unload foam cores from processing machines and prepare for shipment.
• Apply covers, palletize or box cores for shipment.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and raise issues when needed.
• Occasionally cover other functions within the team.
• Maintain and clean assigned work area.
