Automation Personnel Services is seeking an Assembly Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Charlotte, NC. You will help compress, roll, and package mattresses for daily shipment, ensuring quality and accurate labeling through a safer, organized workstation.

The role offers full-time hours with consistent shifts, and a temp-to-hire pathway. A strong emphasis is placed on safety protocols, PPE usage, and efficient material handling in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly for an 8‑ to 10‑hour shift.
• Match order sheets with correct box sizes and shipping labels.
• Previous experience in general labor, production, packaging, or warehouse environments is a plus, but training will be provided.
• Commitment to wearing PPE and following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate compression and rolling machinery to prep mattresses for packaging.
• Efficiently place rolled mattresses into shipping boxes, seal packages securely, and apply accurate shipping labels.
• Inspect finished mattresses and packaging for defects, dirt, or mislabeling before final staging.
• Move boxed inventory to designated warehouse staging areas or pallets for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in compliance with warehouse safety standards.

Assembly Technician

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Assembly Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the final stages of production — ensuring high-quality mattresses are properly compressed, rolled, and securely packed into boxes for order fulfillment. Pay Rate $17.60-18.60/ hour

Schedule and Hours Monday through Thursday 6:00am‑4:30pm or 4:00pm‑2:30am

Assembly Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate compression and rolling machinery to prep mattresses for packaging.
• Efficiently place rolled mattresses into shipping boxes, seal packages securely, and apply accurate shipping labels.
• Inspect finished mattresses and packaging for defects, dirt, or mislabeling before final staging.

Assembly Technician Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and lift up to [50 lbs] regularly throughout an 8‑to‑10 hour shift. (Heavy lifting team‑lifts required for larger mattress sizes).
• Ability to match order sheets with correct box sizes and shipping labels.
• Previous experience in general labor, production, packaging, or warehouse environments is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate!
• Commitment to wearing required PPE (steel‑toe boots, safety glasses, etc.) and following safety protocols.
