Job summary

Thomas Built Buses, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide direct line and maintenance support for Engines and Axles Assembly platforms.

The role involves project work and daily production support, interfacing with line Supervisors and hourly staff to ensure adherence to methods and metrics. The position supports the 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) and requires ownership of technical processes to meet current and future production demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical/ME Tech.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• High analytical ability for complex problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork.
• Proficient with PC hardware and common software.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance engineering support for Assembly processes and related areas.
• Review station drawings and BOMs, suggest spare parts lists.
• Develop and implement Preventative Maintenance procedures for equipment.
• Provide daily troubleshooting for tooling and equipment issues.
• Develop tooling for product changes and assemble process methods.
• Procure equipment in collaboration with Purchasing and vendors.
• Oversee equipment certification (gages, torque tools, testers).
• Occasional supervision of skilled trades personnel.
