Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. seeks an Assembly Lead to assist the Assembly Supervisor in directing the line, instructing assemblers, and keeping the department organized and safe.

2nd shift hours are 2pm–10pm, Monday–Friday, with a $2 shift differential. The role emphasizes teamwork, quality, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Wisconsin.

Strong communication, blueprint reading, measurement skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are important.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform dimensional measuring and quickly learn precision measurement tools.
• Ability to perform simple math and measurements.
• High attention to detail.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crouching, or reaching above the shoulders.
• Knowledge of G and M codes and basic computer skills.
• Ability to focus and work at a continuous pace.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Coordinate work with other departments.
• Take orders and execute efficiently.
• Detail orientation and self-motivation; multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in directing and assisting assemblers.
• Prepare work by studying instructions, blueprints, parts lists, and gathering parts and tools.
• Coordinate orders with material handling and Production Control.
• Position parts by templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components and verify specs by measurement.
• Resolve assembly problems and notify supervisor for resources.
• Input on schedule to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment and follow procedures.
• Maintain inventory by checking stock and expediting orders.
• Conserve resources and document actions.
• Contribute to team effort; other duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
