Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a Weld/Shift Production Lead for the 2nd or 3rd shift. You will assist the Supervisor in directing weld activities and leading the weld team to meet schedules and quality standards.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to read blueprints, and knowledge of welding equipment. High school diploma or GED is required; SAP and Microsoft Office skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team and coordinate across departments.
• Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols and safety rules.
• Basic computer knowledge; SAP and Microsoft Office skills preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Detail oriented with multi-tasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisor in directing welders and department staff as needed.
• Coordinate 2nd/3rd shift teams to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Stay informed of changes and new procedures to stay on schedule.
• Communicate information and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality policies and safety standards.
• Support cost savings and more efficient shop operations.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
