Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking an Assembly Lead to support the supervisor and oversee the assembly line on the 2nd shift (2pm–10pm, Monday–Friday).

You will guide assemblers, ensure schedule adherence, and maintain quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role involves coordinating with material handling, preparing work, and troubleshooting to meet production deadlines while promoting a clean and organized department.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to complete dimensional measuring and quickly learn precision measurement tools.
• Ability to perform simple math and measurements.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work standing for long periods.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in directing and assisting assembly line activities.
• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists; gather parts and tools.
• Coordinate orders with material handling and Production Control for timely assembly readiness.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements.
• Assemble components and verify connections for correct fit and specification compliance.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with safety policies.
