Job summary

Astronics AES is seeking an Assembler and Rework Specialist for 2nd shift in Redmond, WA. The role focuses on accurate rework, repairs and modification to support production hardware and NPIs.

The candidate will perform advanced assembly tasks, including wire splicing, crimping, soldering and component removal, with opportunities to train others and collaborate with engineering. This is a full‑time position on a 2nd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 4-6 years of direct experience in essential functions.
• Experience with wire splicing, crimping, soldering and rework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced assembly tasks such as wire splicing and crimping, lead and lead-free soldering.
• Handle rework, repairs and functional testing of assemblies.
• Set up and adjust processes to drawings and schematics.
• Train others and assist with NPI/engineering projects as needed.
• Interact with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet specs.
